Anti Explorer Bish 30/11/2009(Mon)12:11:44 No.404569    [Reply]
Anti Explorer is a small piece of code you can place in your site's HTML which stops Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE / Explorer) from rendering your page. Along-side this, a notification alerts the user he is using MSIE and prompts him / her to download Firefox instead.

I don't know how I feel about this. On the one hand, I'm not fond of IE. However, I believe that if someone wants to use it, they should be allowed to unless there is a compelling reason not to (site incompatibility or worse). I also feel that there are several viable alternatives, and that steering any group towards any single one makes the web more vulnerable. if we force malicious sites to cater to many browsers, we make it that much more difficult.

So true... I've seen little good sci-fi, Western or otherwise, since the 90's. There are some very good exceptions, of course, but, in general, those four ideas are indeed what is constantly repeated.

23, NEET for over 3 years, still leeching from my mother , but soon to be kicked out, therefore soon to become a beggar.

I am a total failure in every category except in the category being a failure.

But i am too lazy and don't have enough motivation to end my life.

I'm 21 got my first girlfriend and consequentially my first job this year.

I'm still living with my parents but I'm in uni so I have an excuse.

I've got an invite from a friend at work though to share the rent on a 2room appartment - like 2 bedrooms and a small living room/kitchen.

SO I guess I'll be moving out soon but it's not a good time since my parents are fucked financially and I want to help them rather than pay a quarter of my salary on housing I already have. I'm also screwing

It looks like it does, but it's interesting that it's not restricted to making round objects like the other 3d devices in this thread.

First off, this was impressive and thank you for sharing it.

but, the design looks a bit clunky...when it moves, it looks like it's doing it in part by dragging it's feet. I'm not sure if this is a flaw in the tachikoma design or the robotics used to make it move. anyone have any idea?

Kuro 22/10/2009(Thu)01:09:08 No.326642
That is epic. As a previous Geek stated, it does seem to only have power in the front legs, but having all four legs powered would make it a bit bulkier.
