Seinen manga*
Drama, horror, psychological, science fiction.
Plot Summary: Alien pods come to Earth and, naturally, start taking over Human Hosts. One such pod only manages to take over one human's, Shin Izumi, right arm. Together they grow and co-exist, all the while the other aliens are making meals of other humans; Shin feels he must put a stop to it all, but his alien, Migi, doesn't see why.

So, I have a bit of a theory, and I'd like you guys's opinion of it.

Basically, I think that steampunk is a response to science as it is now. The era in steampunk was really the last scientific era where one, on intuition alone, could make an invention and have a chance of it being both novel and useful. This is in contrast to today, where a college degree in science or engineering is basically a prerequisite.

Leonardo da Vinci was an scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, painter, sculptor, architect, botanist, musician and writer. Today you would spend most of your life as a student to graduate in all those fields.

Today is much harder and slower to get a PhD than it was for Einstein.

We don't have any more genius creating amazing inovative hightech stuff alone. It's always a team in a lab.

Well, I suppose I'll contribute. One of my favorite animes (haven't read the manga), Angelic Layer.

<If you've not read/watched the Anime I suggest you wait until you read this>



Iichan is an enjoyable character, but I feel as if the beginning pace is all wrong. It starts off sort of slow in the first episode, building up, which is fine. But then Misaki jumps right in and beats someone using an illegal weapon in, what, her first fight? I think the whole Main Character is a special dump
