Chocolate Bomb!

This ordinary-looking bar of chocolate is really a German hand grenade. It's made of steel with a thin covering of real chocolate. When the piece of chocolate at the end is broken, a strip of canvas is pulled out. After seven seconds the bomb explodes.

Isn't seven seconds too much?

Instant explosion wouldn't be better?

not if you plan to use it as a grenade instead of a suicide weapon

I thought that it would be something that you would leave to the enemy pick up. If you are going to throw it at them they will learn fast that you are trying to kill them.

you don't think they'll catch on when they notice an abnormally heavy bar of chocolate has a piece of canvas sticking out of it?

The canvas is not sticking out, it is hidden inside it. When you break the bar is that the canvas will be exposed. In the pic you can see a small drawing of the intact bar too.

Anyway a bar with steel would really be heavy, maybe if they used white phosphorus instead of fragmentation grenade it would be more effective.

Anyway this is a weird idea, I think that a contaminated bar would be much better (many soldiers sick would be a real problem)

you don't think they'll notice canvas coming out of their chocolate when they break the first bar off?

That's why it should be instant boom!

This is a pretty cool idea.

There you are, a terrorist and what have you fighting this German dude. Then he's like "Whoah there, time out mang" Pulls out a bar of chocolate, breaks the end of and tosses the other end to you in what you perceive to be a kind gesture. You take a big bite having heard how good European chocolate is and suddenly think to yourself "WTF I just chipped my teeth on this chocolate covered bar of steel! How mean!" Right before you retaliate for the nasty prank our German pal played on you, Kaboom!

WTF is this shit?

A mechanical dog has a head and a tongue having at least one channel which opens into a first opening in the tip of the tongue and a second opening at an end of the tongue facing away from the tip of the tongue. The dog has a tank and a suction pump connected to the channel via the first opening....

You guys suck. 20 posts to discuss the practicality of what is obviously a neat weapon.

Granted, I could think of a gazillion better ideas for stealth weaponry if I had the resources. After all, I am from the middle east. I think creating hidden explosives is encoded into our genetic material.

I'd go for chemical poisoning instead of explosives. It might be cheaper, and would lower the morale of enemies soldiers even lower than disguised bombs.

Now, this is practical!

Maybe that bar was used by soldiers pretending to be civils and not really to be given to the enemy.

"I don't carry any weapon! I just have this chocolate bar for my kids"

I would prefer something way less conspicuous; A chocolate bar would be hard to conceal in some contexts (EG; In hot climates, guerrilla siytuations in pood hoodlums, etc), and would not pass a close inspection, due to weight, and texture (A thin layer of chocolate might rub off easily.)
I would rather use a Coke can; With some special preparation, you could even have some liquid in it to make it pass for a real can ( a soft soldier would not move it too much to not spill the contents of it), and the shape of it would be ideal to contain a grenade-like weapon.
Besides, if you use a Coke can against north-american troops, that would be like over nine-thousand irony points!

Lets talk about that mechanical dog. Can it give you a blowjob ? How strong is the suction pump ?
